![]() ![]() ![]() The skeleton keys are a dense macabre, but they are also the keys to the kingdom, master keys that open the secrets of the rain, itself one of Dylan’s master symbols. Many of the Dylan commentators love the next to last line – The “harmonicas play the skeleton keys and the rain.” Dylan author John Hinchey writes: Blind’s Man Bluff is a game of tag, so I don’t understand what a key chain has to do with it.Īnd what about that bit about the “fish truck explodes”? What? “The ladies play blindman’s bluff with the key chain”. Somehow that’s interesting, if incomprehensible. “Louise holds a handful of rain, temptin’ you to defy it”. “She’s delicate and seems like the mirror” seems awkward every time I hear it. He’s sure got a lotta gall to be so useless and all, There are some lines, at least to my mind, that really misfire: I don’t think it’s one of Dylan’s all-time greats. By pop music standards Visions is an epic, a tragic opera that ruminates on how love can overcome the emptiness of our lonely and otherwise pointless existence. Visions of Johanna is one of Dylan’s most ambitious lyrics, and for that reason alone it’s due much respect. ![]()

![]() ![]() There’s grownup witch council stuff going on, and they can’t tell her about it. Sabrina arrives home and tells her aunts about this latest monster attack, only to find them distracted. He asks her, for his sister’s sake, not to broadcast it about that they live in a trailer – it’s Radka’s sensitive spot. Imagine her surprise when she finds out that this is where Radka lives, and her delight when Ren gives her a ride home on his motorbike. With a few clever spells, she gets away long enough to run to the closest people she can find – a trailer park outside of town. Now Sabrina is dragged off into the woods by a huge feathered serpent. Previously in Sabrina the Teenage Witch: First there was a Wendigo, then a Kraken. Romance complications, missing aunts, and a kraken attack – see how Sabrina juggles this typical high school schedule in Sabrina the Teenage Witch #4! ![]() ![]() Because of the decade of suffering that she had to endure, Thora was already strong at the beginning of the novel. I won’t tell you who’s my bias just know that my ship didn’t exactly sail.Īnother thing I liked was Thora’s character development. The tension between Theo, Soren, and Blaise made the plot seem fast-paced because I couldn’t wait to know whom Thora ended up with. So I was pleasantly surprised that the romance in this book was plausible and entertaining. For example, I usually hate love triangles because I cannot fathom how they can happen in real life. With all that said, you’re probably confused why I gave this book a high rating.īasically, I enjoyed Ash Princess because it utilized some tropes in a way that did not make me feel jaded. Come to think of it, Ash Princess is reminiscent of Red Queen. Interestingly, the cover is also similar to that of Glass Sword. It’s a combination of the tropes that we encounter in YA fantasy, such as evil monarchs, warring kingdoms, and love triangles. But I am the Ash Princess, a living joke.įrom the get-go, I want you to know that this book isn’t very original. ![]() ![]() My mother was known as the Fire Queen, regal and strong.
